Question 2

Why is My Address Required for Virtual Game Item Purchases?

Accepted Answer

It's a common question why an address is needed when purchasing virtual items for a video game. The straightforward answer is that BloxBoom itself does not require or store your address for these transactions. The necessity to input your address arises from the payment processing method we use.

When you make a purchase, the payment is facilitated through a payment provider, and it's these providers who require your address. This is a standard security measure to prevent the use of stolen or fraudulent credit cards. Your address acts as a verification step, ensuring the legitimacy of the transaction.

This practice is not unique to our services; it's a universal requirement for online purchases. For security and compliance, we recommend that if you are underage or unsure about this process, you should consult a responsible adult to assist with the purchase. This ensures the safety and security of your transactions.

It's not uncommon to encounter issues with card payments, and there could be several reasons why your card is being declined on BloxBoom. Let's explore some of the most common causes: Incorrect Billing Information: The details entered might not match those associated with your card. Double-check to ensure all information is correct Bank Flags Payment as Suspicious: Sometimes, banks mark certain payments as suspicious for security reasons. In this case, you might need to use a different card or contact your bank to authorize the payment. Insufficient Funds: Ensure your account has enough funds to cover the purchase. If there are insufficient funds, the transaction will be declined. Exceeded Credit Limit: If you're using a credit card, check whether you've reached or exceeded your credit limit. Bank Fraud Detection: Banks occasionally flag transactions as potentially fraudulent, especially for large or unusual purchases, or those in different locations than usual. Card Activation: New cards often require activation. Confirm with your bank that your card is active. Expired Card: Verify the expiration date on your card. Expired cards cannot process transactions. Incorrect Information Entered: Mistakes in entering card details (like the card number, expiration date, CVV) can lead to declines, especially for online transactions. Technical Issues: Occasionally, declines are due to technical glitches either with the merchant's system or the bank's processing system. International Transactions: If purchasing from abroad or from a foreign company, banks might decline the transaction for security purposes, especially if they are not informed of your travel or international purchase plans.
