The Forge Runes: Full List, Effects

The Forge is a Roblox RPG where gear upgrades make a real difference as you progress through the game. Runes are enchantment items that provide various traits to armor, weapons, and pickaxes, granting both a main effect and additional stat bonuses. Each rune provides a primary effect such as Shield, Burn, or Life Steal, along with randomized secondary bonuses that enhance various stats.

In this article, we'll go over all the runes available in The Forge, what they do, and how to get them.

What Are Runes in The Forge?

What Are Runes in The Forge?

Runes give your equipment special abilities and stat boosts. You can attach them to your pickaxe, weapons, and armor to unlock new effects. Each rune does something different, so the ones you go for depend on your playstyle.

To get runes, you need to defeat specific enemies, and the drop rates are pretty low. That means you'll need to farm the same enemies multiple times to get the rune you want.

How to Equip Runes

How to Equip Runes

Once you get a rune, visit the Runemaker NPC to apply it. Stations are located in Stonewake's Cross, Forgotten Kingdom, and Frostspire Expanse. Pickaxes already have rune slots open by default, so that you can slot into them straight away. Weapons and armor need to be enhanced to +3 first before any slots unlock.

New rune slots open every 3rd enhancement level. Keep in mind that failed enhancements can cause your gear to drop a level, and any unlocked rune slots can be lost along with it. If a rune was sitting in that slot, it returns to your inventory. To apply a rune, select your gear at the Runemaker, pick a rune from your inventory, and pay the coin cost. Removing runes is expensive, so make sure you're happy with your choice before committing.

Conclusion

Runes are worth the grind once you have the right ones slotted into your gear. Prioritize Drain Edge for your weapon and whichever Miner Shard variant fits your playstyle for your pickaxe. The game keeps getting updated, so new runes will likely be added over time.
