How to Start the Sea 2 Quest
Before you can step into Sea 2, you need to start the questline from the Sea Traveler NPC. However, there are two requirements you must meet first:
- Reach Level 12,500
- Reach Ascension V
If you haven't hit Ascension yet, head to Sailor Island and speak with the Ascend NPC to unlock it. Once both requirements are done, open the teleport menu from any island and scroll down to find World Island. Teleport there and head to the central area, where the Sea Traveler NPC is waiting.
Make sure you don't have any active quests running before talking to him; the Sea 2 quest won't trigger. If something else is in progress, cancel it first, then interact with the Sea Traveler to officially start the Sea 2 questline.

Quest 1: Find the Ancient Fragments
The first part of the questline asks you to collect 2 Ancient Fragments scattered across the islands of Sea 1. These fragments spawn in hidden or elevated spots like rooftops, trees, cliffs, and ledges, so you'll need to search carefully.
Ancient Fragments spawn every 1 minute and 30 seconds and despawn after 5 minutes if no one picks them up. Spawn locations also vary per server, so you may need to hop a few servers before finding two of them. Quest 2: Collect the Map Pieces
After the fragments, you need to gather 7 Map Pieces by defeating specific bosses across Sea 1. Each map piece is tied to a boss pool, meaning you'll get it from one of a few possible bosses. The pieces don't need to be collected in any specific order.
Here's the current boss pool for each map piece:
- Map 1: Saber or Yuji (Cursed Vessel)
- Map 2: Limitless Sorcerer (Gojo) or Curse King (Sukuna)
- Map 3: Solo Hunter (Jinwoo) or Qin Shi
- Map 4: Demon King (Anos) or Vampire King (Alucard)
- Map 5: Manipulator (Aizen) or Slime (Rimuru)
- Map 6: Soul Reaper (Ichigo), Blessed Maiden, or Strongest of Today
- Map 7: King of Heroes (Gilgamesh) or Strongest in History
Some of these bosses have long spawn timers and high HP, so teaming up with other players or joining a guild makes the grind much faster.
How to Enter Sea 2
Once both quests are complete, head back to World Island. Right next to the Sea Traveler NPC, you'll see a glowing portal (sometimes called the Sea 2 Door). Interact with it, and you'll be teleported straight into Sea 2.
If the completion notification doesn't pop up due to a glitch, don't worry. Just return to World Island and interact with the door directly; it should still open as long as both quests are finished.
