To access the Sprout Studies Event, travel to Central Island. This area unlocks once you reach Rebirth 1 and pay 1,000,000 Cash. A purple laboratory has replaced the Gym from the previous update. Interact with the machine outside it to submit plant seeds and begin the process.
The event is about mutating plant seeds. When you submit a seed, you immediately earn milestone progress and rewards. The seed is not consumed permanently. It goes through a mutation process and returns to your inventory after a short wait. The mutation timer depends on the seed type, with a maximum of five minutes.
To save time, use the lowest rarity crops. The easiest option is the Cactus, which only takes 30 seconds to examine.
