How to Get Stone in The Forge
Learn where to find Stone in The Forge, how to mine it efficiently, and what to do if it's not dropping from Pebbles.

The Forge is a Roblox mining and crafting game where you collect ores, forge weapons and armor, and take on quests. Stone is the first ore most players need, and it comes up almost immediately after starting the game.
After picking up your first quest, you get tasked with finding Stone. It sounds simple enough, but a lot of new players end up mining for a while without getting much of it, partly due to luck boosts on certain pickaxes reducing common drops.
In this article, we'll cover exactly where to find Stone in The Forge, how to mine it efficiently, and what to do if it doesn't seem to be dropping.

Where to Find Stone in The Forge

Stone is a common ore found in World 1, also known as Stonewake's Cross. To get it, head to The Cave at Stonewake's Cross and mine the Pebble nodes near the entrance. Pebbles have a 1/1 chance of dropping Stone, though they can also drop Copper and Sandstone, or occasionally Iron. You can also get Stone from larger rock nodes further into the cave, but the Pebbles near the entrance are the most reliable source.
Stone is also one of three ores required for Nord's "The Basics of Mining" quest, alongside Sandstone and Copper. The quest completes automatically once you mine the required ores, and you can repeat it as many times as you like by talking to Nord again.

Why isn't Stone dropping?
If you've been mining for a while without getting Stone, it could be because your pickaxe has luck boosts, which reduce the chance of common drops. The same applies if you have a Luck Totem active. The Luck Totem increases your Luck stat by 50%, which pushes the drop system toward rarer ores and away from common ones like Stone. If you have one active, let it run out before farming for Stone. To fix the pickaxe issue, switch to the basic Bronze Pickaxe from Miner Fred's Pickaxe shop, as it only has a +5% luck boost. If Stone still isn't dropping, just keep working through the Pebble nodes at the very start of the cave until some come through.

What is Stone Used For?

Stone is the base material for many entry-level tools and weapons, making it ideal for learning the crafting system and getting your first gear. It is also part of the recipe for crafting and forging beginner-level armor at the forge station in Stonewake's Cross.
Beyond crafting, Stone is a safe material to practice forging with since it's cheap and common, so you can test mechanics or combine resources without wasting rare ores.
Conclusion
Stone is one of the easiest ores to get in The Forge once you know where to look. Stick to the Pebble nodes at the entrance of The Cave in Stonewake's Cross, and if it's not dropping, swap to the Bronze Pickaxe to lower your luck boost.
