The problem is that the sword isn't sold or handed out through a quest. It sits inside a hidden chest in the Ice Castle, locked behind a key with a frustratingly low drop rate. A lot of players either don't know where to look or spend time farming the wrong enemies.

How to Get Rengoku in Blox Fruits
To get the Rengoku, you first need access to the Second Sea, which unlocks at level 700. The enemies you need to farm are around level 1350 to 1400, so make sure you're leveled up before heading to the Ice Castle.
The Hidden Key is what opens the chest containing Rengoku. The best way to get it is by farming the Awakened Ice Admiral, a level 1400 boss that spawns inside the Ice Castle every 20 minutes with a 5% drop chance. Arctic Warrior and Snow Lurker spawn outside the castle and can also drop the key, but their drop rate is under 1%, so they are not worth farming. If you have the 2x Boss Drop Game Pass, it doubles your chances and shortens the grind.
Once you have the Hidden Key, follow these steps:
- Head to the Ice Castle in the Second Sea.
- Go inside and find the staircase where the Awakened Ice Admiral spawns.
- Turn right at the bottom of the staircase and walk straight into the wall. It is an illusion.
- Inside, you will find a chest. Use the Hidden Key to open it.
- The Rengoku sword will be added to your inventory along with the Samurai title.

How to Upgrade Rengoku in Blox Fruits
Upgrading Rengoku gives it +8% damage, bringing it to Grade 1. The upgrade can only be done once. To do it, head to the Blacksmith NPC, found at Pirate Village in the First Sea, Kingdom of Rose in the Second Sea, or Port Town in the Third Sea.
Here are the three materials you need:
- 8x Vampire Fangs: drop from Vampires on Graveyard Island in the Second Sea
- 20x Magma Ores: drop from the Magma Admiral, Military Soldier, Lava Pirate, and Magma Ninja
- 15x Scrap Metals: drop from basic enemies like Pirates, Brutes, Gladiators, and Mercenaries
Once you have all three, bring them to the Blacksmith, and the upgrade is complete.
